Dutch East Indiaman Adelaar rounds the Cape of Storms carrying rough Dutch Protestant sailors, young Catholic novices, a voluptuous nun, a mysterious priest and a Japanese Samurai engineer. Conflict; religious, cultural and sexual erupt even as the ship is driven to destruction.
